Case demo: the estate of Margaret Hale
Gather
Upload the statements you have. Sevenyear lists the months covered and missing for each account, spots accounts that appear in transfers but weren't supplied, and drafts a request letter for each gap.
Gaps and what was done
| Gap | Action | Outcome | Status |

Request letters, drafted
Drafts for your team to check and send on your letterhead. Sevenyear never contacts a bank.
Read
Each transaction is read from the page by one system and checked against the page's own words by another: the PDF's text, or an OCR read of the scan or photo. Ticked rows passed every check; anything else goes to a person, with the reason. Click a transaction to see the line it came from. These six statements were read for real by our test pipeline; a full case has all 252 months. The pages are synthetic, with no bank name on them: we never make a page that looks like a real bank's statement.
Flag and confirm
Sevenyear flags regular transfers to people, large one-offs, standing orders and school fees, each with a reason. Your team marks each one with the executor: a gift, not a gift, or a loan. Rejected items stay in the record.
Draft and record
A draft IHT403 gifts schedule built from your decisions, for your team to check and file, and a report for the file showing what was reviewed, each gap and who decided what.
Draft IHT403 gifts schedule (extract)
Draft only. For the executor and their adviser to check, complete and file. No exemptions or reliefs have been applied, and nothing has been sent to HMRC. It covers gifts found in the bank statements reviewed; gifts of other assets, gifts with reservation of benefit and transfers from accounts outside this record are for the executor and their adviser to consider.
Report for the file
See the full sample report for this estatePrototype. Margaret Hale's estate is fictional and matches our sample report. The statement pages are synthetic test pages with no bank name on them, each marked "synthetic test data". Step 2 shows six statement pages read by our test pipeline; the other steps show the record a full case would build. In the product your team confirms each item with the executor.
